As we stepped into 2026, we entered the next chapter for Sport Time – our former Regional Wholesale Director Marko Marinkovic became the new General Manager of the company. He takes on this role after seven years of Mirjana Jokic’s leadership, which established strong foundations for continued success and growth.
Marko joined our company in 2019 and has successfully led our Wholesale department ever since. He was responsible for establishing operations in Romania and Bulgaria. Over the years, he has also held the roles of Country Manager for Balkans and Deputy General Manager, gaining valuable experience beyond the Wholesale department he led.
Prior to joining Sport Time, Marko spent ten years at UniCredit Bank, where he built an impressive career path, progressing from an assistant role to Head of Unit. He also took on the roles of Project Manager and Managing Partner in other companies, gaining a strong sense of ownership and accountability across diverse initiatives and business areas.
His experience in the banking sector, Marko says, shaped his long-term and strategic thinking, strengthened his ability to make timely decisions, and taught him how to lead through complexity.
“What excites me the most is the opportunity to apply that experience while leading the company that represents the most powerful brand in the world, built on inspiration, passion, and a belief in the power of sport to build confidence and resilience”, says Marko.
Outside of work, he is physically active, closely follows sports competitions, and enjoys spending time with his family.
We are happy that the leadership transition is happening in a planned, prepared, and thoughtful way, and we are confident that Marko will ensure continuity and build on the strong foundations already in place.
We sincerely thank Mirjana for her leadership and dedication over the past years, and we warmly welcome and support Marko as he steps into the new role and its challenges!
