Water Polo National Team Now in Nike Uniforms

29 December 2023

The Serbian Water Polo National Team will be wearing Nike uniforms starting from the beginning of 2024, as stated in the technical sponsorship agreement signed between our company and the Serbia Water Polo Federation.

Just on the second day of the new year, the men’s water polo team will travel to Zagreb, while the women’s team will start their battles in Eindhoven from January 5th, at the European Championships, proudly wearing their new gear.

During the press conference held for this occasion at the “Milan Gale Muskatirovic” pool, journalists had the opportunity to learn more about the sponsorship and hear the announcement regarding the teams’ competitions in early 2024.

The CEO of our company, Mirjana Jokic, addressed those present. “The vision of Sport Time Balkans is to inspire people to push boundaries through sports. We believe our wonderful male and female water polo players are role models and an inspiration to younger generations to love sports and one day become great champions themselves. We believe this new beginning will bring much more success and victories to Serbian water polo,” emphasized Jokic.

On behalf of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia, President Viktor Jelenic stated that the sponsorship is a significant development for the most successful team sport in Serbian history.

“It’s an honor for us to have the opportunity to collaborate with the globally renowned brand Nike, and we believe that in partnership with Sport Time Balkans, we can achieve excellent results in the upcoming competitions,” added Jelenić.

The coaches of the men’s and women’s Serbian water polo teams, Uros Stevanovic and Dragana Ivkovic, also addressed the audience.

Ahead of the trip to Zagreb for the European Championship where our team will compete in Group C alongside Germany, Malta, and Israel, coach Stevanovic expressed gratitude for a company recognizing the energy of the Serbian team dedicated to achieving top-notch results and for Nike becoming part of their water polo family.

Colleague from the women’s team bench, Dragana Ivkovic, said she was proud that water polo has a new sponsor who will inspire all female water polo players to give their best in the upcoming competitions, announcing the Women’s European Championship in Eindhoven from January 5th, where Serbia will share a group with Turkey, Romania, and the Czech Republic.

The event was attended by Serbian representatives who played a practice match with Croatian counterparts just before the conference—Branislav Mitrović, Savo Ranđelović, and Nikola Jakšić. Journalists had the chance to see the redesigned Water Polo Federation logo and the uniforms displayed on mannequins.

We wish a lot of success to our water polo players!
